Last month Noel, in her finite wisdom, decided to make a clone of the Facebook page that accompanies this blog. That page is here. (opens in new tab) Her copy is here
Why is it still there? Because though trademark violation, copyright infringement and theft of intellectual property are crimes... and though I wrote this letter to Facebook, Facebook is very slow in acting on complaints, and has very little interest in protecting their users. Doing so simply isn't cost effective, and cuts into their profit margin. They'll get around to it - eventually.
A funny aside: Noel tried to convince me that her copy of my page was not copyright infringement. She asserted that instead, my page, and this entire website, infringed on her intellectual property, because, get this - she owns the letter X. Really. This is a woman who once stated that taking pictures off the internet isn't copyright infringement because everything on the internet is public domain, is now claiming to own the rights to a freaking letter of the alphabet.
Will some 10 year old please explain the concepts of intellectual property and copyright to this idiot?
Update... Facebook got around to it. Her page is gone.
