Parody

Noel Bednaz calls her latest blog a "parody." It consists of stolen images and a sentence or two to attempt (badly) to say that the image describes me in some way. Since it only shows that Noel has no clue what the word parody means, I thought I'd help her out a little.

Parody

par·o·dy [par-uh-dee] plural par·o·dies, verb, par·o·died, par·o·dy·ing. noun

1.a humorous or satirical imitation of a serious piece of literature or writing: his hilarious parody of Hamlet's soliloquy.

2.the genre of literary composition represented by such imitations.

3.a burlesque imitation of a musical composition.

4.any humorous, satirical, or burlesque imitation, as of a person, event, etc.

Imitation. Not stealing an image (copyright infringement) from a site called Troll.me (really) and using it to libel someone.

Words have meanings.
